O.T. Wizard Scissor Assessment

- scissor grasp
- fine motor coordination/scissor use
Use: when you need a formal way to evaluate scissor skills.

Pro Tip: Feel free to cut off the individual sections if you have a child that cuts through other lines/shapes.
Common Mistakes: Assign a point as long as they are in the "road" at the "snowball" checkpoint. They do not have to cut into the snowball in order to receive a point.
Draw A Person (DAP)
Domains Covered:
- visual motor integration
- pencil grasp
Use: for preschoolers and young children that are still in the early drawing stage. May not be needed for children that are writing letters well.
Scoring Method: Use the rubric to assign points and add score into OT Wizard for full scoring calibration.
How results Display:
Pro Tip: On the DAP page, write the student name and write the date drawn. Use a clean DAP worksheet to use during therapy once a month (take a pic each time of finished product) and add to their file in OT Wizard or send home to show progress. I've found that the Handwriting Without Tears "Mat Man" song and building intervention works great for learning to draw a picture of a person.
